Empresa japonesa descubre el secreto y potencial comercial de la telaraña

El hilo de araña es uno de los materiales que más ha cautivado la imaginación de autores de todo tipo de ciencia ficción, una fibra soñada por los científicos cuyo secreto finalmente ha sido desvelado por la empresa nipona Spiber que ya prepara su producción a gran escala.

Después de seis largos años de investigaciones en colaboración con la Universidad tokiota de Biociencia de Keio y la empresa Kojima Industries, inaugurará este año una planta que será capaz de producir hasta 100 kilogramos de hilo arácnido al mes como paso previo a comercializarlo a partir de 2015.

“Este tipo de hilo tiene muchísimas aplicaciones”, aseguró Shinya Murata, portavoz de la compañía, que desvela que en primera instancia esperan comenzar a crear productos para automóviles y el sector médico. Según la firma, la tela de araña es el tejido más resistente del planeta, al ser “más duro que el acero y más elástico que el nailon”, dos cualidades que permitirán su aplicación incluso para el campo aeroespacial.

Spiber ha producido la tela a través de un complejo proceso en el que consiguieron extraer de microorganismos el gen de las arañas encargado de producir la fibra del hilo, para posteriormente decodificarlo, reproducirlo y cultivarlo mediante la biotecnología: “Muchas empresas dicen haber logrado producir hilo de araña de manera artificial, pero nosotros lo hemos logrado de una manera mucho más productiva”, añadió el portavoz.

La compañía ha solicitado alrededor de 16 patentes que pretende comercializar sus productos fabricados con este nuevo material, QMONOS, un nombre que proviene de la palabra nipona “Kumo-no-su”, que significa “tela de araña”.

Además, para mostrarnos su potencial la empresa presentó el “Blue Dress”, un vestido de noche para mujer, elegante y refinado, que se ha convertido en el primer producto del mundo en ser fabricado íntegramente con hilo de araña y cuyo valor ni la empresa se atreve a confesar.

One of two fake abortion clinics on the same street as the REAL center, the EMW’s Women Center here in downtown Louisville. This one is right next door to the actual clinic and this place is seriously a nightmarish hell-hole for any unsuspecting women tricked by the anti’s. They assure you this this the abortion clinic, they get you inside, and then offer you food and drink—which of course, means that once you realize your mistake, you can’t run next door and catch your actual appointment, since you need to fast.

Women have come out of this building crying, and on a few rare occasions, without their pants. They take you to a back room for an ultrasound, have you remove your pants, and then begin lecturing you on the sins of aborting. They do not give you back your pants until you have listened, and a few women tricked this far refused to listen and stormed out furious, ashamed, and in their underwear.

This is the anti-choice agenda—lying, tricking, shaming, and embarrassing women to the brink of hysterics in hopes that she carry the pregnancy to term. Forcing her, through lies and manipulation, to do with her body what THEY want, not what is best for her.

There is no “choice” at the Louisville “Women’s Choice” clinics. Just abuse, shame, and bigots who would rather undress a woman to make her feel vulnerable and then explain how awful of a person she is than let her make HER. CHOICE.

when i was little and my parents were driving id pretend there was a man/being/thing running alongside the car who had to follow certain rules like “he can only travel by jumping from streetlight to streetlight” or “he can only walk on fences”

i was so surprised to find out that other people did similar things

Mine was on roller blades. Also, sometimes my fingers would shoot lazers and I’d slice houses right in half, though I’d try to avoid people, but sometimes I’d mess up AND THEY WOULD DIE!

I would do this all the time on long trips. .-. Usually the guy had a skateboard or snowboard depending on the season.

El misterio que había rodeado a los famosos botones del control/mando de PlayStation ha desaparecido. Teiyu Goto, diseñador de las videoconsolas de Sony, ha explicado cuáles eran los significados de los cuatro botones de la consola.

“Eso fue… algo duro”, reconoció Goto. “Otras compañías de la época asignaban letras alfabéticas o colores a los botones. Nosotros queríamos algo que fuera fácil de recordar, así que escogimos iconos y símbolos. Así que rápidamente se me ocurrió la combinación de la X, el triángulo, el círculo y el cuadrado y le di a cada uno de ellos un significado y un color”.

“El triángulo se refiere al punto de vista, y lo representé con una cabeza o dirección y le di el color verde. El cuadrado hace referencia a una porción de papel y representa menús, documentos… le asigné el color rosa. El círculo y la X representan las decisiones del Sí y el No, y los hice rojos y azules respectivamente. La gente creía que los colores se entremezclaban y tuve que recalcar en los departamentos que esa era la idea”.
